Apple iPad 2 Release Date
The Apple iPad 2 has been released a few days ago and it is due to hit stores in the United States on the 11th of March and on the 25th internationally including countries such as the United Kingdom, Japan, France and Germany. How different is it from the first version of the iPad?

Apple iPad 2 With Two Cameras

The most obvious change is the camera. The Apple iPad 2 now has not just one but two cameras – one in front and one at the back. The frontal face camera is to be used for FaceTime videoconferencing as well as Photobooth that has VGA resolution. The camera at the back meanwhile comes with a 720p HD video capability. The cameras also have the same focus and exposure control as the ones installed in iPhones.

You Can Choose Between Black And White Apple iPad 2

Apple iPad  2 is noticeable thinner than its previous model. It is thinner than the iPhone 4 and is 33% thinner than the current iPad. The iPad 2 is has also become lighter with its weight going down from 1.5 to 1.3 pounds. Another thing that users love about the new iPad is the fact that it is now available in black and white.

Another change in the Apple iPad 2 is its dual core 1GHz A5 processor which is two times faster than the processor of the previous model. The graphics on the iPad 2 have improved too thanks to its GPU which now goes at nine times the speed as before.

One thing that people may not like is the fact that its display has remained the same at 9.7 inches, 1024 x 768 pixel display. A lot of people would have wanted the iPad 2 to have higher pixel density but it seems they will have to wait for the next generation.

Apple claims that the iPad 2’s battery life is at 10 hours when watching videos, listening to music or using the WIFI. The company also claims that the gadget has a one month stand-by time.
